*Introduction

Founded in 1992, Scottish Affairs has become the leading forum for debate on Scottish current affairs. It has a rapidly growing worldwide circulation. At this important time in Scotland's history, Scottish Affairs is attracting even more interest.

Setting up the Scottish Parliament has brought the need for a new analysis of Scottish Politics, policy and society. Scottish Affairs is ideally placed to carry this out. Much of the new agenda or politics has been prefigured by contributors to the journal.
